After School Program Lead Teacher

The Girls Club of Greenfield is looking for an energetic, experienced lead teacher for an after school program serving children in grades K-6.  This position requires M-F afternoon hours 2:30-5:30, occasional half days and full days during public school vacation weeks. Possibility for more hours.

The after school Lead Teacher’s responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Maintaining daily verbal and written communication with parents
  • Maintaining health and safety standards in according to licensing regulations
  • Supervising after school teacher and volunteers & developing a team teaching approach
  • Organizing and updating required paperwork, classroom supplies and equipment
  • Developing positive relationships with children and assessing them twice a year
  • Creating and maintaining a positive classroom climate and environment

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Familiar with the Department of Early Education and Care’s regulations
  • Experience working with School Age children

Salary:
Up to $15.25/hour, depending on education & experience
